Rock slide

As many of you are aware already, I-40 is shut down due to a rockslide. Best estimates at this early time is that it will be shut down for many months.

If you are coming from the North, South, and East, it will not effect your travels. If you are coming from the West you have two options. Get off I-40 and go through Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, or Gatlinburg and take 441 through the beautiful Smoky Mountains, or take I 81 North to 1-26 East and down through Asheville.

Anyway you look at it, it will be a beautiful ride. The leaves are still great and this year promises to be a great season for skiing and tubing.

Call our front desk folks and they will be glad to help you.

Fall is definitely here.  I drove up to the blue Ridge Parkway today and the colors are changing quickly up high.  In the valley some of the maples and other early trees are also changing. This year seems like it will have really great colors as we have had more rain then in the past few years.

This year we put out a really special Fall display.. Make sure you check it out real carefully ...it might make you jump!  The whole valley is decorated and ready to welcome you!

Ghost Town in the Sky is still open on the weekends and the Haunted House is also open in the eveinings Thursday through Saturday.  The CliffHanger roller coaster is up and running and is open in the evenings when the Haunted House is open as well.

Remember last year Cataloochee Ski are opened on October 28th.. so start thinking skiing too.

As always we continue to upgrade our property.  We are going through the Villas and doing a lot of work.. We've replaced some hottubs, painted, putting in more Televisions and adding flat screens as we go.  We will continue upgrading the villas on an ongoing basis throughout the remainder of 2009 as well as 2010.

The new pool has been a big upgrade.  We are geting great feedback from our families.

Hope to see you soon!

Jeff
